Isaac went over to the neighbor's to watch as the movers loaded their things into a moving van. Somehow, Isaac tripped and hit his head on the moving truck, requiring stitches. And guess who was on call at the hospital?
Mike is always at work when a crisis strikes. Good thing, huh?
Mike was actually in surgery in the OR when his wife called with the urgent message that she was bringing Isaac over to the ER. The head surgeon excused Mike from surgery to go to the ER and take care of Isaac's injury. How cool is that?! We were totally surprised to see him.
After Mike stitched up Isaac's head, Isaac chose to stick around and watch his dad work for a while.

Was Isaac pretty calm knowing his Dad would be doing the stitches? Was Mike nervous doing stitches on his own son? I'm guessing Mike does this stuff so much he isn't phased.
I was thinking how cute those pictures were, until I saw Mike with a big needle in his hand, and then it wasn't as cute. I suppose that's why he's the Dr. and not me. Good Job, Dr. M. and I hope Ike is feeling better. We have lots of stitches stories, but I'll spare you.
Not many of us WANT our husbands at work during a crisis- so convenient for you:)! Isaac looks awfully tough during the ordeal.
(p.s. -last night's dream involved you crashing jim's jet into a field... at least you survived.)
