A day at the beach

We are far from the ocean here in Wisconsin but there is this park with a great beach that can almost fool you. We visited last year too. We thought we would make it a regular ordeal. It is half of an hour away, great wind, sand, and even a few little waves. But, a year later we finally made it back and it was heavenly.

Park Week

We had a goal to ride our bikes to a new park everyday for a week. I am trying to think of ways to keep us busy with activity. Isaac is use to the fast pace of first grade and I can tell he gets frustrated when there is not enough stimulus at home. We are keeping busy and I am having a hard time blogging.

T-ball

Isaac had his first T-ball practice today. He is playing on the 7-9 year old team (Lisa worked him in though he is technically too young). We learned a few things. Must bring baseball cap, water, folding chairs, and sports shorts to play. Dad needs to spend more time (any time) with fundamentals. Isaac is going to be an incredible ball player.

Our Triathlete

This weekend Mike finished his first triathlon this year. He seems to have walking pneumonia but that did not stop him. After the race he said several times he was more sick than he realized and fell of his bike twice while transitioning from swim to bike. It is always exciting to watch him compete and I thought he looked great.

The triathlon was a couple hours away so we had to wake to kids up early to get there on time. Sometimes I think I
get the better workout chasing my sleep deprived kids around trying to keep them out of the way of traffic. We made a day of it and travelled another hour to a larger city to partake of all that it had to offer i.e good food, build-a-bear, and Chuck E Cheese.

Fish On!

Isaac went fishing with his school class.

Here is his first ever fish- in case you couldn't tell by the facial expression.

Now one of his birthday requests is a fishing pole.

Ladder

Grandpa,

Dad was able to find some time and got the ladder made. We are enjoying

the tree house and so are the neighbors. Come visit again and build some more. Thanks.

I Looked Out the Window And What Did I See?

A TURKEY
These are really bad photos. I am taking the photos through my screened windows. This wild big bird has been living in our backyard off and on for a few weeks. I love it!

How Many Men Does It take to....

How many men does it take to move a playground?
10 men

and 3 different trips.
Our neighbors a few houses down are moving and we are inheriting their old playground. We are very excited. I started repainting it Friday and I am looking for a few new accessories for her (are not most objects referred to as females?).
