Lettin' Loose

Star in Your Own JibJab! It's Free!
It is 10:30 and I am cooking meatballs for our trip to the lake and making fake home movies. That's not too weird is it?

Crawler

Ariel started crawling about two weeks ago. She has been pulling herself up to a stand for about week. She is growing up way too fast. It seems everyday she has a new trick. Found out today she has another ear ache. This will be her fourth in eight short months.

Sleep Tight

The other night I was checking on all the kids before I went to bed and was laughing at what I found .
Ariel was snuggled up like a bug in a rug with a slip of mine (a trick we learned from Ayden Fugal).
Lucas was asleep almost naked in a laundry basket of clean clothes.
Isaac was sleeping with his blanket and pillow in the hallway. These boys do have beds they sleep in most nights.
The laundry basket is used by one or both of the boys a few times a month. I still find it fascinating. If I ask the boys if they want to watch a movie with their little dvd player they will put these little beds together and get ready to munch popcorn

Enter The Dragon

This morning we had breakfast as a family- first time ever I think. Lucas was wearing a long face which, combined with his hair, made for a nice resemblance I think. He is also our tough guy.

$1.48

I noticed during my travels this summer some of you are paying upwards of $4.00 for a gallon of milk. I must brag because my grocery is selling a gallon for $1.48 right now. Oh, the perks of living in Wisconsin!

Our hike to Mt. Timpanogos caves

Oh Brother!

A few days ago, Isaac and Lucas were wrestling and going a little crazy with our big blue exercise ball. I warned them that someone might get hurt. I was surprised when that someone was Ariel. Lucas pushed Isaac, who bounced off the ball and grabbed onto Ariel's swing (with her in it) to stop himself from falling. It worked, but Ariel and the swing went tumbling over. Ariel is now sporting a small goose egg and bruise. I guess this is a sign of things to come for Ariel, having two older brothers. I too have two older brothers and I have some good stories. I was held under the water at the rec center while Jim and Dave played they were sharks and I was their prey, until I kicked my way to the surface for breath. I was trapped in my room for hours by my older brothers who tied a jump rope to the outside of my door knob and the knob on the door across the hall. In fact, they tied me to strollers, the hand railing in the car port, you name it. Do my brothers remember all this too?

Isaac Lost His First Tooth

Isaac's tooth fell out last night during dinner. He was relieved not to swallow it. He was nervous all day that was going to happen. Isaac just corrected me, he wasn't worried, he was kinda worried.
Evidently, the tooth fairy came last night and left him a gold dollar. I have heard of silver dollars but never gold. I hope this one isn't counterfeit. I read online (most legit source of information) the reason for the money from the toothfairy is to diminish some of the anxiety of losing the tooth by anticipating a reward. It sure worked with Isaac. He has spent half the morning talking about discovering the money, etc.

Ariel loves babies, especially these ones

It is interesting to me that Ariel is only eight months old and is crazy about babies. She has loved babies since she was 3 months old, maybe earlier. Posted by Picasa

Lucas' Green Shirts

The last couple of months Lucas has become OBSESSED with green shirts. He wants to wear green shirts and underwear only. Everytime I turn around he has taken off his pants and is standing there in a green shirt and unders. I tried telling him they were all dirty and in the wash (which was true) and he helped himself to my green shirts. My shirts fit him like a dress. He didn't mind this a bit- but would ask if his green shirts were dry. I don't want to encourage this green obsession, but to make things a little easier I have kept an eye out for green boy shirts. We were even given a few green hand-me-downs when Annee heard of my predicament. He doesn't like his shirt dirty and he has become creative in fixing this problem. The green shirt can be backwards or inside out and he doesn't mind. This whole green shirt thing is funny but it can be somewhat annoying at times.

the OTHER Marions

On our summer vacation we were able to stop by and visit Mike's only brother Mark's family in Greeley, Co. We sure are lucky to have such great cousins. Looking forward to the day when we can live closer to family!

The Importance of Being With Earnests

We had such a great time visiting cousin Annee Earnest and family in Colorado Springs it was hard to say goodbye. They were wonderful hosts and great playmates. It would be nice to have annual get togethers.

Garden Vegetables

For Family night last night we roasted s'mores in the backyard. We then picked vegetables out of the garden. We came in and noticing how beautiful and colorful our pickings were we decided to make vegetable art. The hard part was keeping the boys from eating the goods before everyone had a turn as designer.
