Other parts of the country are showing signs of spring. Not here. We are embracing the winter and will be enjoying winter sports long after most people have put their winter coats away. The local ice rink offers free ice skating to preschool aged children Tuesday mornings.

Looks like fun!! You have to love the free things!!
For some reason this is so funny to me. It's kind of lonely looking in a weird way. This little kid, pushing around an old brokne chair. But his cute face sure makes it seem like fun.
That is awesome! I notice in the last picture he's not the only one with the chair idea. My boys have wanted to go ice skating but I can't figure out how to go out and help them and hold a baby at the same time. Do they let moms skate with babies in their arms?
I wish I had learned to skate at his age. You don't have as far to fall and you feel no shame at using a walker. He will end up a pro hockey player and I will still be wishing I learned how to skate. Way to go, awesome mom. Hey, that chair-pushing helmet-wearing kid in purple doesn't look like a pre-schooler. I bet I could use hockey sticks for support and wear a helmet and those little kids would never know I wasn't Wayne Gretsky.
They actually let you bring a stroller onto the ice so you can push your baby. The ice rink is quite cold so you need to dress your baby accordingly. Lucas has not seemed to mind falling. It is kind of a challenge for him to see how fast he can get back up. The older kids there at the rink are home schooled.
Fun activity! I've been trying to find free local activities to beat the cold... Does Isaac care he's missing out?
oh, our animal noses are from a store on base, but I'm sure they sell 'em at a party store- lemme know if you want me to send you a pack (of 4 -elephant, pig, tiger, tucan).
That is so perfect for you and your kids!! You love the Winter sports anyway right??!! Maybe the boys will turn into hockey players. Keep them going!! Isn't hockey huge out there?
