Months ago, I bought 3 airlines tickets for the kids and me to fly out to be with our families for Thanksgiving. The idea was that we would buy a ticket for Mike when he knew exactly what days he had off. When the time came, Mike had to get his ticket on a different airline on a flight that arrived 2 hours ahead of us. Since the baby was flying free as a lap child, we made a last minute decision to send her on ahead with Mike. I can't believe how much easier the flight was for me -- I only had to care for two high energy boys. But I did worry about my 10 month old nursing baby being away from me for seven hours with a layover in Denver. Can you imagine the stares Mike got -- a man flying alone with an infant in a sling? Fortunately, Ariel got along very well and Mike earned great admiration and appreciation.

I love that family picture. I'm glad you all had a great flight. It is hard to travel with kids, but worth it once you get there!

Hahha! Yes, I ran, and I saw you, but I didn't realize it was you for about 35 seconds, and then I turned around and you were lost in a crowd of winter hats that all looked the same. Black hat right? Or dark? And then I figured it couldn't be you because you lived all the way in Dairy Country...AND I have only seen you in pictures and figured I could not have so easily recognized you. But we walked right past each other...shoulder to shoulder as you were walking in the rec center and I was walking out!
I'm so glad the travels worked out so well! We had such a great time with you guys- wish it would've been a longer visit... and hope the traveling home goes equally smooth (you better be in bed by now!) ps. Anna fell asleep 10 minutes ago. I better have better sleeping reports tomorrow...
We had to do that once. It was so weird to be traveling on different planes.
