Ariel's first playdate

Yesterday we invited several moms and their children over for lunch. I initially did it for Lucas. He has preschool twice a week and music class once a week. That leaves two days with not much going on, which drives him crazy. There were several kids that came yesterday in the one year old age range. Ariel was LOVING it. I thought she was too young to get much out of a playdate.

Funny Sayings
- Ariel and I were looking at family photos. One on particular of last Easter. I am visibly pregnant with Elsie. Ariel: Where is Elsie? Me: In my belly. Ariel: Why did you eat her? With your teeth?
- I have one- from guess who? "Oh! I HATE it when I don't need what they have on sale."
- While at the grocery store the other day Isaac saw a little boy in his school class. I commented that he should go and say hi. He said "Not right now, I don't want to bother him, he looks busy." This is a 6 year old.
- I am going to wear a green shirt, green pants, and green underwear so I can match me. -Lucas
- Lucas has been FASCINATED with almost every diaper we change of Ariel's. Today right before changing her Lucas says "Babies can't go to the potty 'cause they'll SINK, right?"

Did anyone come for Lucas?
I love all the new posts - but especially the one about speaking Greek! Thanks for the cute Baltimore pictures, I love them! Also, how did you make this beautiful blog template? I love it!
So the idea was to have kids over for Lucas to play with. Yesterday was the 5am wake up day. I thought I had the house clean at 7am, but by 9am it was a mess again. So I ended up getting frustrated at Lucas because he was messing up everything right after I cleaned up. What was suppose to be a fun morning for Lucas turned into a constant reprimand from his mother. Why do I seem to always have good intentions but they never come out as planned. He had some kids his age over too, but Ariel was clearly more pleased.
k... so who made that poor little boy with the football jersey be in the Picture? LISA!!!
J/k...Cute idea, NO thanks for me though, that wastes all of my energy for the day!
Plus who needs a playdate when they can play with siblings Right??!!

#12 doesn't seem to be having that great of a time. Ariel, on the other hand looks like she's having a ball with her new friends! She is so cute! Looks like it was a success. Way to go!
I love how Elmo is babysitting. Fun getting little ones together- you're brave to do it in your home!
