No, this is not another photo from Tuesday. This was taken today.
And this time it is Lucas, who was speeding down the hill on his bike without wearing his helmet. His sister stepped onto the sidewalk in front of him, he swerved to miss her, went flying over his handlebars and hit his head on the driveway.
Fortunately, Mike was on call (as usual) so the hospital paged him and he came to the ER to tend to Lucas' wound. It was not a clean laceration. It was torn into a Y shape and full of gravel so it required a lot of clean up work. Here Mike is irrigating it with a syringe full of water.
After getting stitched up, Lucas had a CAT scan. Lucas called it a COW scout.
Lucas is happy he is now doing better and that he was so brave.

WOW, that's a lot of blood. Poor Lucas. You guys are having all the luck. Good thing their Dad can take care of them. Maybe he should come home once and awhile.
Oh my goodness! I can barely even look at your last two posts without getting all achy! Poor kids. How nice is it to have your dad as your doctor?!
Oh gross. I'm just so, so sorry for you guys. You have a super hero of a doctor dad, but I sure hate the hospital!!
are you kidding? Lucas trying to keep up with big brother is at an extreme! Glad Ariel survived the near crash- and nice to see a smile at the end of the whole ordeal.
Unbelievable. I am so sorry this happened. I am also glad that Mike was able to do the work. Good luck and duct tape some quilt batting around Ariel this week!

Wow. Frank and I had a little sad bit of chuckling. I saw the photos and thought you hadn't posted since Issac. You guys need padded cells!
