This weekend Mike finished his first triathlon this year. He seems to have walking pneumonia but that did not stop him. After the race he said several times he was more sick than he realized and fell of his bike twice while transitioning from swim to bike. It is always exciting to watch him compete and I thought he looked great.
The triathlon was a couple hours away so we had to wake to kids up early to get there on time. Sometimes I think I
get the better workout chasing my sleep deprived kids around trying to keep them out of the way of traffic. We made a day of it and travelled another hour to a larger city to partake of all that it had to offer i.e good food, build-a-bear, and Chuck E Cheese.

Way to go Mike!
Did he notice a difference in aerodynamics without the mustache? He is awesome, and so are you to chase sleep deprived kids in traffic.
Impressive!!! And yes, chasing a toddler (and lucas!) deserves a number and medal, too:)
p.s. does your Family blogger count the last time you visited the site, or the last time it was updated or somethin' else? huh- interesting...
I'm impressed!!
it counts last time a post was posted
I always wondered where Nam's Nishiki went. I am glad to see you're putting it to good use.

Had to look it up:
Nishiki (bicycle)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nishiki is a brand name of bicycles originally produced at the Kawamura factory in Kobe, Japan. These bicycles were exported to Europe, Canada and the United States, with bicycles produced for the Japanese market using the brand name 'Kawamura'. Derby Cycles (now Raleigh Cycles Ltd.), who had been the distributor of Nishiki bicycles in the U.S., registered the Nishiki brand name within the U.S. before the Kawamura Company. Although this had no implications for several years, in 1989 Derby began manufacturing Nishiki bicycles without any cooperation from the original producer. The brand name was retired by Derby in 2001 in North America. However, Nishiki Europe, a group of European distributors, still exists and sells models in Scandinavia, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and Estonia. These bikes are produced in Taiwan, the Netherlands, Finland and Sweden.
FYI: It is a Trek (Made in Wisconsin)
Lisa what a darling family!! Go Mike the triathlete. That is one thing I would love to do someday. Hey any chance you want to move back to UT and compete with me? ha-ha
