Very Merry Christmas

Maybe it was the fact that I had low expectations for Christmas that I ended the day on a high. Mike had to work and Lucas was sick with the stomach flu and Ariel had two ear infections. Mike was able to sneak home a little after 5 pm and we opened gifts. It was starting to get dark outside and created the same ambiance as the traditional early morning gift opening. Santa's a smart guy sometimes and filled the stockings with a few things to entertain us most of the day. We received wonderful gifts and enjoyed watching each other open the gifts we had given. Our kids are the prime age for Christmas. We spent hours Christmas and Christmas Eve talking about baby Jesus and Santa. My kids are fascinated about both subjects. (What kids aren't?) Christmas day, Mike even threw in a few surprises for me and the kids and I always LOVE being surprised. We did miss out on a good Christmas meal however. We drove up and down Central Ave and nothing was open. I didn't plan that part too well because Mike wasn't going to be around and with two sick kids, what is the point?

What beautiful new Christmas PJs! Mike's match the coordinated color scheme too. Looks like someone forgot to get some for Lisa. Or was it one of those nights where she never even had a minute to put PJs on? Sorry to hear about the flu, ear aches and the collision Isaac had with the brick wall. There sure are a lot of smiles in these photos considering, although Lisa's smile looks a little weary. Good work, Santa! Merry Christmas to all.

Gavyn has laid claim to your Christmas card. He makes a point of showing it to any visitor to the house. He is very proud to call you friends and family.
