Sushi

The other night we went out to dinner at a Japanese steakhouse and introduced Mike's dad to sushi. Denise has had sushi with me one other time and was sharing a roll with Isaac. She told Isaac he could have the clump of avocado on their plate since he is crazy about avocados. The big problem was the avocado was actually very hot wasabi. You can see from the photo Isaac is reaching for his water. Denise started laughing so hard she hid her head under the table.

Funny Sayings
- Ariel and I were looking at family photos. One on particular of last Easter. I am visibly pregnant with Elsie. Ariel: Where is Elsie? Me: In my belly. Ariel: Why did you eat her? With your teeth?
- I have one- from guess who? "Oh! I HATE it when I don't need what they have on sale."
- While at the grocery store the other day Isaac saw a little boy in his school class. I commented that he should go and say hi. He said "Not right now, I don't want to bother him, he looks busy." This is a 6 year old.
- I am going to wear a green shirt, green pants, and green underwear so I can match me. -Lucas
- Lucas has been FASCINATED with almost every diaper we change of Ariel's. Today right before changing her Lucas says "Babies can't go to the potty 'cause they'll SINK, right?"

ouch - wasabi and avocado are very different indeed! what did isaac say after he had some water?
Never a dull moment! What a hot couple!
That's painful! I hope he still is willing to eat avocados. If Lexi eats the wrong thing mistakenly, she has a hard time eating the food she thought she was getting again.
A mouthful of wasabe? Even with years of acclimation, a pea size chunk can really burn one's sinuses. Poor kid. That is so sad that it is a little funny.
Is Mike showing Mel how to use a fork?
